The following types of licenses exist in South Carolina:
- Burglar and Fire Alarm Business
- Burglar Alarm Contractor
A background check, exam, and certificate of liability insurance, certificate of comprehensive general liability insurance providing for the minimum coverage, and completed Document 130 including NTS Level I certificate of completion for burglar alarms and fire alarms or NICET Level II certificate of completion for fire alarms are required to obtain a license.
